[Tried & Tested] Etude House Face Conditioning Cream

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

Etude House launched the Face Conditioning Cream just at the right time. I got it in a whim, knowing jolly well, I will be getting it cheaper it Korea, but what the heck, I still bought it and brought it along on my trip.

Right now, this is my favourite must-have! This little baby makes my skin soft, priming it for makeup, whilst keeping my skin moist. I always have this problem of getting dry skin when in cold weather, but this time was different, with the Face Conditioning Cream, I had no trouble at all!

The Packaging
Its white pearly box is exactly the same the colour of the cream. Whilst maintaining its girly feel, this white tube is made of a sturdier and shinier material like your toothpaste, so you won't mess it up with their brand of CC Cream.

The Fragrance
It smells a little like baby powder, delicate and soft, with hints of floral scent.

The Benefits
  •  With Ingredients like Argan, Olive and Coconut oil to moisturise, nourish and control excessive oil
  • Minimizes complex steps from skin care to makeup base to boost makeup condition lightly and simply.
  • Anti-Wrinkle
  • Whitening
  • With added SPF 25 / PA++

The Texture
The texture of the product is very creamy, silky and smooth. It is lighter than your usual moisturiser creams and it get absorbed very fast, without leaving any sticky feeling. The skin is just nicely primed and slight whitened, though not as pale looking as CC Cream.

The Review
I only need 50c coin size of the cream for my whole face and after it's fully blended out, my skin is a little brighter and more even-toned with a glowy feel. I have it under my makeup and it adheres to it very well! I didn't need to do any touch ups throughout the day and my skin feels so soft and moisturised even after a day of being out!

So, if you are looking for the all-in-one primer and moisturiser for that glowy, dolly look like the Korean ladies, try the Etude House Face Conditioning Cream!

Traffic Stopping Hair Colours

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Ever since my first attempt to tie dye my hair last year, I went through several colour changes by having my ends changing colours every few months.

I wasn't happy with the previous colour and so I went back to the hairstylist's to bleach and then add on the colours again. This time, it was red, green, maroon. We left it as that and 2 months later, I went back to bleach out my hair even more and this time, we changed the colour to orange, green and purple. It's definitely more prominent now with more bleaching out.

But bleaching the hair's a bitch! I had super duper dry ends when I got lazy or forgot to apply the hair moisturiser. And since I've had this super long long hair for more than 2 years, I thought it was time to snip it all off!

Just a couple of pictures before I snip it all off....

Woo! The amount of hair! Anyone wan hair extensions??
So, there, I "chopped" it all off, leaving little red tips at the end of my hair...

I loved the red ends lots, give my shorter curly hair a little twist, even when I tie my hair up in a ponytail.

3 months later, I was back at my hairstylist's to bleach out the red ends (which was dang difficult as he had to make sure my hair didn't break too!) as we decided to turn it turquoise blue as seen on Katy Perry and Photographer May Lin Le Goff.

We chose to do a gradient effect and this was achieved by getting the hair bleached into different tones, so the more yellow my hair gets, the greener the hair gets...

Ta Da! After 7 hours of hard work, we got the effect I wanted!

Above: This is how the hair colours looks like under sunlight.
Below: And this is how the colours look like under fluorescent light.

Yes, my hair's not straight, this is then my natural curls....
So, this is my coloured hair journey for the past few months.
Still unsure of what's my next move, but I know I'm enjoying the blue hair for now! :)

XOXO,

Labels: , , , , , , ,

The word Olive always sounds super healthy and nourishing, be it applied or eaten, it helps in a healthier and more glow-ful you ~

I received The Body Shop Beautifying Oil (Olive Oil) to try out and I'm loving it! It's multi purpose and can be used for body, face and hair! (For the face, be careful when near the eyes area, do not apply too close). It is super effective if you are working or sleeping in air-conditioned offices/rooms.

Our NEW Beautifying Oils are multi-purpose dry oils for body, face and hair.  They instantly moisturise, smooth and illuminate, thanks to the pampering blend of three precious nut oils and offer moisturisation benefits up to 8 hours! Contrary to beliefs that oils are greasy for our humid weather, our beautifying oils offer 3 benefits that will leave you loving them!

As you guys know, I've recently bleached and dyed my hair blue. It can get pretty dry at times, now thanks to the Beautifying Oil, I can have pretty silky hair everyday! Thank you The Body Shop!!

XOXO,
Christina aka Huney
