Wana rock a sparkly Christmas look? Check out Pulse at The Body Shop!

Pulse is where beauty with heart is brought to life. The Body Shop have put their skincare, makeup, bodycare and values centre-stage to create a memorable beauty experience that engages, informs and empowers!

I was at The Body Shop's launch of their Christmas makeup collection and OMG! I was told to appear with minimum makeup, like just foundation n eyebrows done. Lucky for my huge Evisu spectacles to cover up!

Upon arriving at the event, I was given a goodie bag. Inside was the products(2 eyeshadow palettes and 4 lipsticks) from their Christmas collection and we would be using them for our workshop...

2 different shades of earthy browns and neutrals for the holiday season...
Lovely shades of lipstick colours!

Introducing makeup maestro - Larry Yeo! He was the one who taught us step by step on how to create the latest look for the holiday season using the products from The Body Shop's Christmas collection.

Check out the many many products of The Body Shop!
Are you ready for the step by step Holiday look?

Step 1: Use the Lightening Touch to touch up the eyebrows and also to define the arch.

Step 2: Use the second lightest shade to fill the whole eyelid till the hollow of the eyes.

Step 3: Using the dark brown eyeshadow to draw a C Curve from the outer corners of the eye to the hollow of the eyes.

Step 4: Use the darkest shade to line near the lashes and apply mascara, from the roots upwards. No eyeliner is needed here, but use a Metallic Eye Definer Pencil (Brown) to line to lower lid from outside to 3/4 in and  Metallic Eye Definer Pencil (Gold) to continue lining the lower lid to the inner corners.

Step 5: Apply Dazzling Rocks with a Slanted Kabuki Brush to highlight and contour.

Step 6: Apply Lipbalm and dab on lipstick on the lips to finish up.

Step 7: Optional adding of bling to your hair or body...

Yeah! All done for the makeup workshop. A photo with Larry Yeo before we head for dinner and another hand massage workshop! Woohoo!

Putting on PAPERSELF Lashes

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Eversince I learned about PAPERSELF, I never stop lusting over it. Paper Lashes is simply too appealing and imagine my excitement when I was told by PAPERSELF, they would be sending a pair over for me to put on and review about them!

"So, which pair would I be getting?" This was the only question I had for the week, whilst waiting for my surprise to arrive...

Can you guess which designed I got?

I received the Deer and Butterfly pair!

With intricate designs and packaging, I really couldn't bear to take them out of the box! I was contemplating when to wear them and finally, I decided to wear them for clubbing!

I would say this was one of my favourite from their many designs. The butterflies were so flirtatious at the end of the lashes! However, I find it was a pity that the deer was not very visible. But nonetheless, I still liked the effect it has on my lashes and it was not that exaggerating as I thought it would be! It's like any false lashes, with lash glue and a tweezer, you can wear the lashes easily within minutes!

Gorgeous! I love how all the attention is at the eyes!

Although the lashes looks good with any colour eyeshadow, I still think nude colours are best for the lashes to fully stand out and let the designs be obvious. Even though it was said for one time use only, you could simply cut the lashes into parts for different placements along the eyes and the pair I wore, was taken off with much care and I actually managed to wear it the second time before throwing the pair of lashes away!

I would highly recommend these lashes for parties and events and especially for this festive season! Head on over to any Topshop or Sephora stores to get yourself some amazing lashes!

Happy Shopping!
