Super Massive Nail Supplies Haul

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , ,

I've been going crazy the past week purchasing nail polishes and other supplies. Well, it's the Great Singapore Sale, you can't blame me for buying things right? Let me introduce them one by one.

The first one is this beautiful nail polish from L.A. Girls. I got it $9.00 from Guardian Pharmacy and the Color Addict collection is their multi-dimensional collection that comes in 16 shades. I got "Disorder" as I have very little grey nail polish and guess what, it shines with a gold tinge.

Can you believe it?! With 1 coat and the colours is so 'full'!
You can check out more about the colours at the L.A. Girls website. I'm eyeing on the "Glitter Addict" collection. Not sure when it will be one shelves here....

Then, there's this set by Serena Williams for O.P.I.. I missed the previous set and I was glad I snapped this last one off the shelf.  It consist of a Shimmering bronze pink nail polish - Rally Pretty Pink and a Red Shatter Nail Polish.

On left: Rally Pretty Pink in 2 coats. On Right: Red Shatter on  top of Rally Pretty Pink.
I also got these 3 other nail polishes from Orly. They are more expensive than O.P.I. and this is my first time getting from them. I only got these 3 coz I must say they are pretty rare to find in other brands.

From Left: "Oh! Cabana Boy", "Its Not Rocket Science" and "Here Comes Trouble"
I tried the Red Shatter from O.P.I. on them. Think the pink one works better.
I got these Disney Princess nail stickers. I'm still thinking of how to use them for my nails. :)

I bought the above nail polishes all at different places. The dark blue and gold nail polish on each side is from SaSa at 2 for $5 and the matte orange nail polish from Etude House at 20% discount; dark coral nail polish from Rubi for just $2 and Lime Green by UK Constance Caroll from Mustafa for just $4.90.

Latest Turquoise Shatter from O.P.I., my long awaited Crushed Candy Crackele from China Glaze and the final one is  Polar Ice from China Glaze.
I used the coral nail polish from Rubi and lime green nail polish from UK Constance Caroll as base for this nail art.

As seen above, I have the Etude House's matte orange nail polish on the left. It is better to use at least 3 layers of the nail polish to get a nice thorough layer. As for the middle and last nail, I have the Polar Ice nail polish. The nail in the middle had a beige nail polish as base, whilst the other is just 2 layers of Polar Ice.

The Turquoise Shatter on Orange nail polish.

So candylicious right?!
I know this is a super long blog, the next one will be my last item for this entry. It's Etude House's Matte Nail Top Coat. As the name says, it can transform any colour nail polish to a matte nail polish with a suede, velvety  feel.

I tried it on the dark blue nail polish I got from SaSa. On the left is with matter top coat and on the right is just the nail polish itself. You can the difference and I have to admit, with the matte top coat feeling like suede, I just can't stop rubbing and feeling my nails. Hehehehehehe... :)

[Makeup Tutorial] Etude House's "Welcome to Wonder Eye Land"

Labels: ,

With the huge haul I got from Etude House previously, I mentioned that I would share how to colours look like on skin. There was so many colours and boy, was there millions of way to match them. Here are some of the looks I have done using just the palette itself.

Look 1

Basically, this eye makeup is created using 2 close to the lashline and blend upwards towards the brow using 1. Then I used 3 right under the brow for highlight.

I must say this is a simple shadow blending look that goes well with any type of hairstyles and dressing. Here, I added wing tip false lashes and big eye contact lens and see how "innocent" I look? :P

Look 2

Look 2 is a simple look for everyday work. I used 1 on the whole lid and dabbed a little 2 on the outer corner of eyes for depth and 3 below the brow for highlight. 4 is then drawn on the bottom eyelid with an angled brush. Finish off with your favourite eyeliner, mascara, blush and lipstick/gloss and you are good to go. Simple and fast. I got the whole look done within 10 minutes. Tell me about rush hor!

Then, I had this round plaits for hair. One big plait on the right from fringe to the back and on the right, I tied 3 small plaits and everything is pulled to a bun to the back of the hair. This would definitely keep you looking fresh all day and add a little twist to the usual boring ponytail/bun.

Look 3

This is even simpler. The whole eye makeup revolves around 2 eyeshadow colours and is suitable for night parties. I used 1 on the inner corner of eyes and 2 on the outer corners. Then, I "pulled" 2 out to create an extended wing tip and added a little highlight below the brow.

Next, I drew my eyeliner along the long wing tip and brushed my lashes with my favourite mascara and put on some dramatic eyelashes. Voila!

Hope this few looks do help you guys in transforming your looks and adding some colours to your daily life. Don't be afraid to use colours and always remember to start off using the colours lightly before building them up to stronger colours!

Have fun ~

KATE Eyeshadow CQ

Labels: , , , ,

I have so much to share with everyone. So much to do, so little time. Here's one for starters: The KATE Eyeshadow CQ. It's transparent like crystal and creates a high purity transparent shine to define eyes.

I've recently fell in love with nude / natural makeup. Perhaps, I wana have a change from all the dramatic colours. And this wonderful palette from KATE works amazingly well for me when I wana have clean and stunning looks like model/actress/singer Lena Fujii (藤井リナ) or Hong Kong model, Angelababy.

Notice their eye makeup is mostly brown and kept natural and most of all, there seems to be this sheer shiny feel on the lids? I'm always baffled by this until I bought this eyeshadow palette.

I've pulled out this instructions page from KATE's wbsite to help you guys with the application.

The most important part in using this palette is to apply 'A' all over the lid to get the eyeshadows all tied together, blended nicely with a shimmery feel.

I've tried it out on several occasions and it worked perfectly. Check this out --->

Don't I look like I walked out of ViVi? :X

I love the subtle gradient and shininess.
Works with all every colour contacts that I wear. Tehehe...

You can find KATE at all local WATSONS stores. Do check out their new arrivals and new TV ad at their official website ->> http://www.kate-global.net/en/index.html

[Tried & Tested] Ginvera Green Tea Series

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

I'm back at Singapore! The super much luggage-lugging exercise got me so drained out, I had to rest one whole day yesterday. In fact, I wana recommend a couple of things to you guys. I received this huge package before I fly off and I've been using them whilst away.

Check out my mail.
Opening the package.
The celebrity for this this series is our local start Michelle Chia. Not only she has beautiful smile, she has this flawless skin that glows when she's on screen. All thanks to Ginvera's skin care.

Let's talk about the Whitening Cream first. It's a hydrating oil control moisturizer for fair and clear skin.

And the ingredients include:

Green Tea Essence
Rich in antioxidants to protect skin cells against harmful free radicals and reduces photo-aging from UV rays.

Thanaka Extracts
Intensive whitening and moisturizing effects for more radiant glow. Helps to promote smooth skin by preventing the formation of pimples.

Biogel
Rich in various amino acids, proteins and trace mineral elements, which are essentially required for skin cell growth and whitening effects.

With the above 3 ingredients, Ginvera Green Tea Aqua Whitening Cream provides the benefits of skin whitening, UV protection, oil control, lightening of spots and acne scars, while preventing the formation of scars.

Its deep moisturizing and oil control effects help to effectively hydrate and clarify the skin for natural, radiant glow.

I used this product when I was in Vancouver. The weather there was about 6°C, and boy, my face felt like it was cracking apart when the wind blew. Luckily, the moisturizer protected me against dry skin and peeling. Not only that! The little black spots I got from basking in the sun in Bali, grew lighter and almost non-detectable.

As you guys can see from above, my dark spots, even my skin got lighter, less flaws and my skin was glowing in just 2.5 weeks! Simply just apply it after cleansing and applying toner on your face and use it daily.

Next up: Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream. It is suitable for all skin tones, creating natural and flawless coverage for all skin tone. It's a non greasy formula that provides natural matte finish, spreads with nano fine texture, resulting in even tone and natural look.

And what makes it different from other BB Creams out there is that it supplies essential nutrients to revitalize the skin, leaving the skin fairer and more radiant, and provides all day hydration for the skin.

With SPF 30/PA++, the cream protects the skin against the harmful UV Rays and definitely helps reduce the formation of lines. Say 'bye-bye' to Botox eh?

The colour is a little yellow toned and definitely suitable for our Asian skin.

Yes! That's me without any makeup on.
After applying the BB Cream.
Can you guys see the magical difference? My face immediately brightens up and the cream covers up my dark eye rings and the little red spots.

The BB Cream has a mild green tea smell and feels light on my skin, almost as though not there!

So, what I normally do after applying BB Cream is to pat a little face powder on, so that the makeup last longer and the cream won't leave a stain on my clothes when rubbed against each other.

This is the final look using the BB Cream as base.

My skin looks flawless right?
Wana try out the products for yourself?
