Do you always wonder how to create a look that suits you or even how to apply makeup the correct way? Well, ELLIS FAAS will be having a makeup Workshop on the 17th April 2012 from 6.30pm-7.30pm at Sccube the Apothecary L5 Ngee Ann City with a registration fee of $30 (Canapes and champagne will be served).

Launched in February 2009, ELLIS FAAS is the cosmetics brand created by Dutch-born make-up artist Ellis Faas. Starting off with 27 lipsticks, by now the collection has expanded to a full line of foundations, concealers, blush, eye shadows, mascara etc.

ELLIS FAAS products are available exclusively at Sccube the Apothcary in Singapore. Ellis Faas has been a phenomenal make up artist with work spanning across runways, magazines, as well as campaigns for cosmetic companies like MAC, Clinique, and Lancome.

Her concoctions created unique shades that proved that she was a true artist and has won great critical acclaim with the way she wields her make up kit in like painter than a make up artist. There were unmarked tubes, pots, and palettes of colour. Hailed by Vogue Paris as “one of the most influential make-up artists of her generation”, ELLIS has dazzled the world with her artistic vision and versatility in make up.

Ellis Faas currently works mainly in Paris, New York and Milan, but officially still lives in a studio in one of the oldest parts of Amsterdam.

The BB Lotion may seem a little fair when applied, but as you go by the day it oxidises and it blends with my skin. One other way is to set the cream with light brush of face powder and I'm good to go for a natural look. 5 tiny drops on my face is good enough to cover my re spots of dark circles. Highly recommended if you want flawless looking skin like those Korean celebrities...

The Lip Balm I got is Grapefruit flavoured. There's a slight orange tinge when applied and it's very long lasting, keeping my lips moist all day. Doesn't come off easily even when you eat. *So you can save quite abit of moolah*

Btw, there's some "incentives" when you spend more in Etude House.

Badges come when you purchase $20 of products, the puzzle is when you spent $30 and the Tin Box with Memo Standee inside comes only when you pruchase above $50. There's also a schedule book, but it comes only when you purchase $80 and above...

[Makeup Tutorial] Effie Trinket (Hunger Games) Inspired Look

Thanks to Curél and Cozycot, I was given the Curél Trial Kit II for the face. Curél skin care is formulated with ceramide functioning ingredient. So when you cleanse, you protect against ceramide loss and when you moisturize, it replenishes ceramide function and retains moisture.

Step 1: Makeup Cleansing Gel

It's a clear gel that can be used to remove makeup easily. It's pretty efficient in removing makeup, including my long-weaaring BB Cream. It's only my waterproof mascara and eyeliner takes a longer time to remove. I squeezed the gel on a cotton pad and eave over my eyes for a while before wiping off. It's easier that way.

The gel spreads easily on the skin and I didn't have to rub much to get the makeup off and it doesn't sting the skin or eyes!

Step 2: Foaming Wash

It's foam!

The foaming wash is light and one pump is enough for the whole face. I feel so bubbly in the foam wash and even my strength to wash my face is so light. Simply softly rub in the foam and wash off with water, my face feels so clean and dewy, there's even a little "breeze" after washing!

Step 3: Moisture Lotion II

This works like a toner, clear and watery lotion must be applied straight after cleansing. I would drop 4-5 drops on a cotton pad and gently apply all over my face. There's Eucalyptus Extract in this lotion and it deeply penetrates into the stratum corneum for skin to become smooth, fully moisturized and resistant to external irritation. The lotion doesn't sting the skin at all!

Step 4: Moisture Face Milk

The last and final step is definitely to moisturize. Five drops of this cream on my face, twice a day makes my skin soft and supple in just 3 days! It's feels a little sticky on the skin, but slowly it gets absorbed into skin, leaving the skin baby smooth. Woohoo!
