[What's New] Celebrate Halloween With M.A.C x Rocky Horror Picture Show Collection

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

Happy Post-Halloween Everyone! How did you spend your freaky Halloween week? On that day, I did not do any dressup like every year, but I did do something special - visiting the scary makeup artists at the M.A.C counter in ION Orchard. Check out their horror-ific looks, I bet you will be dying to do their looks too!

This year's Halloween is amazingly celebrated with the launch of the M.A.C x Rocky Horror Picture Show Collection. I have not managed to catch Rocky Horror before, my closest to it would be the Glee version....

But of course the classic is still the best. See! They've even printed the characters on the inner part of the packaging!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show kicks off the celebration of its 40th anniversary in wild style with an untamed M∙A∙C collaboration, featuring an outrageous collection of hues and products specially designed to recreate the looks of your favourite characters from the 1975 cult classic film. Transform yourself into a sex-swapping mad scientist, heroic newlywed, alien from Transylvania or even the time-warped Riff Raff, with an orgy of colour worthy of any midnight mayhem at The Frankenstein Place...

So, being the sucker for packaging and a M.A.C addict, I had to get my hands on these little babies. Let me show you what I have gotten!

The first thing I wanted to get was the Set Powder that sets your foundation and base creams with invisible, giving you a light sheer and velvety finish. These powder grains are very fine, it is almost non-existence when applied.

For the eyes, I got the M.A.C Riff-Raff Eyeshadow Palette contains six eyeshadows, with a mix of old and new colours with a cool toned set of shades that could let you go from natural to dramatic stand out with these colours.

Oh, Rocky! is a “soft muted white with pearl [with a Frost finish], light, white-beige with subtle neutral-to-warm undertones and a satiny sheen. Crystal a “violet duochrome with pearl [with a Frost finish], is a light-medium lavender with cool undertones and a pink-ish iridescent, frosted sheen. These 2 shades will be great for inner corner of the eyes as well as under the brow .
Blackberry a “muted burgundy plum brown [with a Matte finish] is a muted, neutral-to-warm-toned plummy brown with a matte finish, that could come off a little dirty looking, but it is a great shade to have for contouring the eye.
For the shimmery shades, Graphic Style and Heavy, Black and Pendulous would be nice to have. The deep silver [with a Veluxe Pearl finish] Graphic Style would brighten the eyes whilst the grayish blue with pearl [with a Frost finish] Heavy, Black and Pendulous would be a nice shade to have against Blackberry for a contrast payoff.
And then comes the must-have black eyeshadow - Carbon. But it seems to be popping up in quite abit of the M.A.C palettes, it would be nice to see something with a change, like a shimmer or different colour undertone?

To add on to the dramatic set show look, contouring is a must! The Powder Blush in Crazed Imagination is something to opt for if you are not looking for a transvestite scientist like Dr. Frank-N-Furter. This muted, medium-dark plummy brown with subtle, warm undertones and a pearly shimmer-sheen finish is a natural shade to have whether for blusher or for contouring.

And nothing speaks louder than glitter pots, with you shining and glittering, you will definitely be the centre stage attraction! These 2 shades are to “Keep entirely clear of eye area. If product enters eye, rinse with water. If irritation occurs, consult your ophthalmologist.”, but with some creativity, you can have them as glittering eyebrows, lips or even cheeks and nails! But I've tried them over the eyeshadows and I must show they are stunning!

MAC 3D Black Glitter  is a black base powder with silver holographic effect and it is really something you must have! The MAC Gold Glitter has gold glitter pieces of different sizes that bounces off light to give your skin a Midas touch of elegance.

So, it's all a Strange Journey when you step into the Rocky Horror world, so come on over and try this moist red and orange tint lipstick. Coat your lips with it and I bet you will be drawing in the strange as well! See how fair I look against this lip colour! It is pretty close shade to Lady Danger, so if you missed this one, you can still find it with Lady Danger. :)

Loving the lighting over at the M.A.C counter! Must get this at my house too!

The M.A.C x Rocky Horror Picture Show Collection is now available at the M.A.C counter at ION Orchard Sephora, so be sure to go down early as these limited edition lovelies will run out very soon!

[What's New] Say Hi To INGLOT~

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

Yay! No more having to travel to Malaysia for INGLOT. Latest beauty brand in town is INGLOT! This October marks the opening of INGLOT's first store in Singapore! It is located at Wisma Atria #B1-14 and I was down at their opening day to check out the goodies as well as to catch the make-up demo by INGLOT's top makeup artist - Ela Kocot.

Ela Kocot working her magic...
It was super crowded that day, I don't know how many times I have said "Excuse me", but from the amazing response, you know how great the brand is. :)

Their shades cover even for the darker skin toned...
INGLOT has been around for over 30 years and it was founded in a small town of Przemyƛl, Poland. They are now one of the world's leading manufacturers in colour cosmetics, showcasing their work on the runways of Fashion Week to the stages and sets of TV and Broadway musicals, with over 450 boutique stores, stands and retail locations internationally.

You can even bring their fragrance cakes along in your Freedom System palettes!

You know how I love my colours and INGLOT is definitely like my wonderland. One thing I love about their cosmetics is its signature Freedom System. With a palette on hand, you can assemble the custom designed eyeshadow, cheek colours and face powder. It is very easy to travel around with the colours that you need and I find them especially handy when it comes to travelling!

With their wide range of lipstick shades, you are bound to find the right shade for yourself. I even found 2 blue lipsticks (288 & 291) that will definitely come in handy during Halloween or you can also start play art with mixing your own lipstick shade!

And talking about Halloween, why not check out their array of bright and fluttery false eyelashes that can help you transform into any of the characters you have in mind?

Also, not forgetting the full range of the revolutionary O2M Breathable Nail Enamel. They ensure oxygen and water vapor permeability, giving you healthier looking nails even with consistent nail painting.
