[Tried & Tested] Skin Test With SK-II

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

After I got back from my trip, I headed over to the SK-II counter in Robinsons Orchard to get my skin tested. The bright red machine, tests out the skin's texture, radiance, firmness, as well as problematic areas like wrinkles and spots. They also can test your skin's aura according to the test!

I'm happy that my skin condition is fine overall, except the super low in Texture Refinement, my skin is actually younger than my actual age, but I'm gona try out their products to help rectify more!

Stay tuned for my next update and you can pop by any of their stores for a skin "checkup" as well!

[Tried & Tested] Etude House Face Conditioning Cream

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

Etude House launched the Face Conditioning Cream just at the right time. I got it in a whim, knowing jolly well, I will be getting it cheaper it Korea, but what the heck, I still bought it and brought it along on my trip.

Right now, this is my favourite must-have! This little baby makes my skin soft, priming it for makeup, whilst keeping my skin moist. I always have this problem of getting dry skin when in cold weather, but this time was different, with the Face Conditioning Cream, I had no trouble at all!

The Packaging
Its white pearly box is exactly the same the colour of the cream. Whilst maintaining its girly feel, this white tube is made of a sturdier and shinier material like your toothpaste, so you won't mess it up with their brand of CC Cream.

The Fragrance
It smells a little like baby powder, delicate and soft, with hints of floral scent.

The Benefits
  •  With Ingredients like Argan, Olive and Coconut oil to moisturise, nourish and control excessive oil
  • Minimizes complex steps from skin care to makeup base to boost makeup condition lightly and simply.
  • Anti-Wrinkle
  • Whitening
  • With added SPF 25 / PA++

The Texture
The texture of the product is very creamy, silky and smooth. It is lighter than your usual moisturiser creams and it get absorbed very fast, without leaving any sticky feeling. The skin is just nicely primed and slight whitened, though not as pale looking as CC Cream.

The Review
I only need 50c coin size of the cream for my whole face and after it's fully blended out, my skin is a little brighter and more even-toned with a glowy feel. I have it under my makeup and it adheres to it very well! I didn't need to do any touch ups throughout the day and my skin feels so soft and moisturised even after a day of being out!

So, if you are looking for the all-in-one primer and moisturiser for that glowy, dolly look like the Korean ladies, try the Etude House Face Conditioning Cream!

[Tried & Tested] 'Polka-Dot It' Nails With House Of Holland Nailed By Elegant Touch

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

House of Holland, a brand name that's not a stranger in the London Fashion scene has teamed up with Elegant Touch to create a range of bold, fashionable nails. Designer Henry Holland has been known for his strong, colourful and playful prints, with a touch of his renowned sense of humour and uniquely irreverent aesthetic, and this range of House of Holland Nailed by Elegant Touch does not fall short on that.

The stiletto shaped nails are "housed" in a kaleidoscope layout, showing off the on-trend fashionable nails. What I have is the monochrome with 3D dots - 'Polka-Dot It', and knowing that I'm a colourful person, this was a change for me. But the 3D polka dots are so fun to look at and play with!

In the set, not only do you get the 10 displayed nails, there are also another 14 more with/without dots for you to play around with the designs. There's also a nail file, instructions booklet and a nail glue.

So, once I've filed my nails to the right length, I picked out the designs I wana do on my nails and lined them up accordingly. With just 2 drops of the nail glue on the back of the nails, I pressed it hard onto my own nails, allowing it to dry and stick on.

I've always been skeptical about fake nails as past experiences of them coming off easily just by getting something out of my bag, is simply too irritating. I usually have to carry the nail glue around with me and it was too much a hassle!

But when I got the 'Polka-dot-it', I have to say kudos to the glue! I had the nails applied for almost a week and I was attending events, rummaging through my bag, taking photos, instagramming, typing and not a single nail showed any sign of falling off!

I simply love them and everyone were loving them, a lady even stopped me whilst I was shopping to snap a picture of my nails. Hehehe! And did I mention, they go so well with the leather punk style, stack up on those studs as well!

The House of Holland Nailed by Elegant Touch are available in 6 designs (Get Nailed, Classy Nude, Face Ache, Zig Zag Stardust, Polka-Dot It & Geek Chic) and you can find them at selected Watsons Singapore store at the price of SGD$13.90.

Have fun nailing it!

[Tried & Tested] TONYMOLY Mr. Smile Patch & Red Cheeks Girl's Patch

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

It's always so lovely to have friends getting me interesting beauty products. These ones today are from TONYMOLY and when I first received them, I was a little bewildered.

"Why give me a moustache? It's not Halloween yet!"

Well, it turns out Mr. Smile Patch is a mask patch for the laugh lines. It is said that it can help you to firm your skin and to enhance your skin elasticity.

So, I jumped right into using it the moment I got home. When I first opened the package, it was filled with the essence. The patch was the jelly type, and my nails kinda cut into the jelly a little while taking the "moustaches"out.

It takes about 20-30 mins to let your skin soak up the essence, and in the meantime, take as many selfies as you want, just don't smile!

Actually, I didn't see much of a difference after using the Mr. Smile Patch. I'm not sure is it because it requires a few more times, but I must say it was fun wearing this, hubby had a good laugh looking at me. =X

The other one that I have is the Red Cheeks Girl's Patch. It's like 2 pink translucent circles and same like the Mr. Smile Patch, it was filled with the essence. This one works more for ladies who have red cheeks or a little acne problem, where you want to soothe the skin.

But, for me, it worked great as a moisturiser as well. With Kelp extract that contains vitamin K to stabilize the skin; Cabbage Rose extract, Cherry Blossom extract, Apricot extract, and Peach extract to help create bright and energetic skin.

They are very fragrant, but they keep sliding off my cheeks. I had to keep holding on to them for 20 mins. Pretty tiring, but I loved the after effect! My face had a little cheeky pink glow, which I literally just slapped on my sunscreen and went out the next day. No blusher required!

Don't I look like those Chinese zombies?!
Well, if you girls had tried them, let me know what you think.
Or if you have anymore of such interesting products to recommend, feel free to comment or email me!

Combining the 2 is just so hilarious! =X
