KATE Eyeshadow CQ

Labels: , , , ,

I have so much to share with everyone. So much to do, so little time. Here's one for starters: The KATE Eyeshadow CQ. It's transparent like crystal and creates a high purity transparent shine to define eyes.

I've recently fell in love with nude / natural makeup. Perhaps, I wana have a change from all the dramatic colours. And this wonderful palette from KATE works amazingly well for me when I wana have clean and stunning looks like model/actress/singer Lena Fujii (藤井リナ) or Hong Kong model, Angelababy.

Notice their eye makeup is mostly brown and kept natural and most of all, there seems to be this sheer shiny feel on the lids? I'm always baffled by this until I bought this eyeshadow palette.

I've pulled out this instructions page from KATE's wbsite to help you guys with the application.

The most important part in using this palette is to apply 'A' all over the lid to get the eyeshadows all tied together, blended nicely with a shimmery feel.

I've tried it out on several occasions and it worked perfectly. Check this out --->

Don't I look like I walked out of ViVi? :X

I love the subtle gradient and shininess.
Works with all every colour contacts that I wear. Tehehe...

You can find KATE at all local WATSONS stores. Do check out their new arrivals and new TV ad at their official website ->> http://www.kate-global.net/en/index.html

[Tried & Tested] Ginvera Green Tea Series

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

I'm back at Singapore! The super much luggage-lugging exercise got me so drained out, I had to rest one whole day yesterday. In fact, I wana recommend a couple of things to you guys. I received this huge package before I fly off and I've been using them whilst away.

Check out my mail.
Opening the package.
The celebrity for this this series is our local start Michelle Chia. Not only she has beautiful smile, she has this flawless skin that glows when she's on screen. All thanks to Ginvera's skin care.

Let's talk about the Whitening Cream first. It's a hydrating oil control moisturizer for fair and clear skin.

And the ingredients include:

Green Tea Essence
Rich in antioxidants to protect skin cells against harmful free radicals and reduces photo-aging from UV rays.

Thanaka Extracts
Intensive whitening and moisturizing effects for more radiant glow. Helps to promote smooth skin by preventing the formation of pimples.

Biogel
Rich in various amino acids, proteins and trace mineral elements, which are essentially required for skin cell growth and whitening effects.

With the above 3 ingredients, Ginvera Green Tea Aqua Whitening Cream provides the benefits of skin whitening, UV protection, oil control, lightening of spots and acne scars, while preventing the formation of scars.

Its deep moisturizing and oil control effects help to effectively hydrate and clarify the skin for natural, radiant glow.

I used this product when I was in Vancouver. The weather there was about 6°C, and boy, my face felt like it was cracking apart when the wind blew. Luckily, the moisturizer protected me against dry skin and peeling. Not only that! The little black spots I got from basking in the sun in Bali, grew lighter and almost non-detectable.

As you guys can see from above, my dark spots, even my skin got lighter, less flaws and my skin was glowing in just 2.5 weeks! Simply just apply it after cleansing and applying toner on your face and use it daily.

Next up: Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream. It is suitable for all skin tones, creating natural and flawless coverage for all skin tone. It's a non greasy formula that provides natural matte finish, spreads with nano fine texture, resulting in even tone and natural look.

And what makes it different from other BB Creams out there is that it supplies essential nutrients to revitalize the skin, leaving the skin fairer and more radiant, and provides all day hydration for the skin.

With SPF 30/PA++, the cream protects the skin against the harmful UV Rays and definitely helps reduce the formation of lines. Say 'bye-bye' to Botox eh?

The colour is a little yellow toned and definitely suitable for our Asian skin.

Yes! That's me without any makeup on.
After applying the BB Cream.
Can you guys see the magical difference? My face immediately brightens up and the cream covers up my dark eye rings and the little red spots.

The BB Cream has a mild green tea smell and feels light on my skin, almost as though not there!

So, what I normally do after applying BB Cream is to pat a little face powder on, so that the makeup last longer and the cream won't leave a stain on my clothes when rubbed against each other.

This is the final look using the BB Cream as base.

My skin looks flawless right?
Wana try out the products for yourself?

[Makeup Tutorial] Makeup Look for New Asia Bar House party with DJ Matt Joko

Labels: ,

Last night I attended the House music party at New Asia Bar http://huneyzworld.blogspot.com/2011/05/dj-matt-joko-new-asia-bar.html.

Here's the look I spotted for the night. It was pretty rush as I was out in the noon for work and I had the natural beige-y look. I only got to reach home 1 hour before the event, so there was no time to re-do my makeup.

All I did was to add a little more colours to my eyes and a little shine on my face.

As you guys can see from above, I added a purple eyeshadow to line the lower lid and brought it up to the contours of the eyes "harshly". I didn't want to blend them out as I wanted my eyes to be a little more deep set. Well, coz New Asia Bar has Caucasian party goers as majority of the crowd and I wanted to blend in. Wahahahaha!

And the rest I did was just to add luminator powder on my cheeks, nose bridge and chin. *Remember to keep it light. You are not Lady Gaga, who's going under huge strobe lights!*

Serenity Cove

Labels: , ,

After a long weekend at the Adidas All 24 event, I decided to go to Serenity Cove in Holland Village with mummy dearest. We signed a package earlier on and were given complimentary 'Classic Manicure' and '40 mins Body Massage'.

I gave the manicure to mummy and she added on a pedicure. What a tai tai right? I liked that the Serenity Cove practice sanitary and all the equipment after one use are all washed and put into a sterilize box. Clean right?

Mummy didn't want to appear in my photos.
Sweet pea pink for her nails. She looked so kawaii!
And sparkly red for her toe nails. Sexy eh?
While mummy had her nails tended to, I was having my little relaxing session at the store next door, where they had all their massage chairs and beds.

Yes, I stripped down to just a towel over my body.
Lying on the bed, waiting for the nice lady to come and massage me...
Still lying on the bed, not waiting for leave after the massage.
The nice lady, gave me more attention on my shoulders and head, knowing that I stare at the computer more often. I'm so glad I had the massage, it's been ages I had a good rub and boy, I had what a wonderful sleep that night.

Another satisfied customer.
I was given a nice cup of camomile tea to drink while waiting for mummy's nails to dry.
You can find Serenity Cove in Holland Village's Shopping Mall, they have branches all over the 3rd floor.

Etude House Crack Nail Colour

Labels:

There's been so much hype about crack/shatter nail polishes ever since O.P.I. introduced theirs with the Katy Perry collection. Recently I spotted Etude Houses has also launched their own crack nail polish. Just 2 colours, blue and black.

I only got the blue one as I have already gotten the black from O.P.I.. I love how the blue cracks almost immediately as it touches another nail colour. *Note: Crack only works when you have already applied a base colour. Does not work on plain nails*

The nail polish works very simple. Just apply any nail colour as base and my suggestion for blue would be using pastel colours, or contrasting colours like yellow, orange and just plain beige for the blue to stand out. I used a matt pearly white a base for this example and applied one coat of the blue crack nail polish for this effect.

I don't really remember how much I paid for the nail polish, but if I'm not wrong it's SGD$11.90, a fraction of O.P.I's price! The only thing is that they should produce more colours right?
