[Tried & Tested] Wave Goodbye To Smudges With EYLURE Miss Flicklash False Eyelashes

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

Having to draw the right winged eyeliner takes quite a bit of practice and in our climate, it's so hard to find the right eyeliner to get that black line to stay on without having to smudge throughout the day right?

Well, then the Miss Flicklash by Eylure is the one for you!

Think Vintage Burlesque, Dita Von Teese style, Miss Flicklash is bursting with personality, allowing you to ditch the eyeliner and mascara and enjoy your day (or night) out.

Developed by sisters and Makeup Artist and Products Designer Duo - Lynne Mills and Lucy Ross, the pair of false lashes comes with a "built-in" eyeliner. The eyeliner is made of velvety material and the pair of falsies is not only flexible but also very sturdy, I've been re-using them for more than 7 times and I can still keep on wearing!

The product idea was inspired by countless client requests over the years on replicating the sought after 'eyeliner flick' make-up look at home, then after a few years of experimenting 'Miss Flicklash' - A False Eyelash with an Eyeliner Flick Attached was developed.

The pair of Miss Flicklash I got is the 140F. It comes in a bright pink packaging and this is the more luscious pair. I didn't have to do much trimming and it fits perfectly onto the shape of my eyes.

The flick has a separate tape attached to them, so after you've glued the lashes on, you can adjust the flicks afterwards. I didn't have to do this since mine always sat evenly without any fiddling. Maybe after a couple of times the tape might not be that sticky anymore, you can simply put a bit of lash glue in replacement.

I wear these lashes throughout the day, more than 8 hours a day and I can simply wave good bye to smudges, having to fret my eyeliner has faded or even if my falsies have dropped! So, come join me and bid our adieu-s to our mascaras and eyeliners!

There are 2 designs (140F and 080F) launched in Singapore and they are available in 30 selected Watsons stores and are priced at $11.90.

[What's New] Say Goodbye To Little Miss Free Radical With BRAND'S® InnerShine®

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

Whether you are out shopping, playing with friends in the sun, using the computer or simply cooking, this red little girl is always following you. Who is she? She is Little Miss Free Radical.

When I was out with bloggers at BRAND'S® InnerShine® event last week, I noticed many Miss Free Radical-s (enacted  by models in red hood) out playing everywhere.

STOP! They might look like your friend but don't be deceived by their cute appearance, these Little Miss Free Radicals could actually cause you to age ever faster, especially in today's polluted and stressful city life. Watch this video and you know what I mean...

Scary right? It's like a horror movie right? She haunts you and follows you in your daily life, you can't escape her, but what you can do is to have OPC (Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins Complexes) "keep" them busy and keep them at bay, so that the girls would not come to disturb you.

OPCs is an active ingredient that strengthens collagen in your skin and helps reduces the loss of elastin - the protein that keeps the skin firm. Together with the powerful Antioxidants and Anthocyanins from the berries extract of BRAND'S® InnerShine® Berry Essence with Grape Seed Extract, it provides natural goodness for the skin.

BRAND'S® InnerShine® Berry Essence with Grape Seed Extract (IBGE) is an all-natural nutritive essence from 5 premium berries (blueberry, blackcurrant, chokeberry, acai berry and cranberry) and it is further fortified with OPCs.
I have been having this berry goodness ever since it's launched back in 2011. It has kept me looking good and youthful. It has been a secret weapon of mine for a long time and now I'm sharing it with you!

So, nowadays, even though Little Miss Free Radical still lingers around me, I know I have nothing to fear as long as I have BRAND'S® InnerShine® Berry Essence with Grape Seed Extract daily, the OPC will keep her at bay. All I have to do is toss her the purple ball of OPC!

The BRAND'S® InnerShine® Berry Essence with Grape Seed Extract taste almost like have a grape juice or some might say like Ribena. I always have them chilled and even my hubby loves it. See how young we look (*Vain*)....

Cheers to youth!

You can find out more on BRAND'S® InnerShine® Facebook Page as well as take part in to watch the campaign video and participate in the Facebook game and lucky draw to stand a chance to win prizes.

Ending the blog post with the bloggers I met that day as well as the BRAND'S® InnerShine® team...

BRAND'S® InnerShine® Berry Essence with Grape Seed Extract is retailing $24.90 for a pack of 6 bottles.

[Tried & Tested] It's The Peri Tint!

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

Korean cosmetics have really been getting more and more popular with the KPOP scene, so here's introducing the latest from Peripera, their latest 3 Lip Tint series in 8 exciting new shades!

Peripera have always been packaged and sold as the fresh, bright, stylish beauty line that I adore as you all know I'm always about colours! Dressed in illustrations created by Korean pop artist Mari Kim, whose artwork also appeared in a 2NE1 music video, these lip tints are definitely a delight to look at. I received 2 of the products - Tint Marker (Orange Stain 2) and Tint Crayon (Fruity Mint 3).

The Tint Market works like a marker you would use on the board. It's easy to apply and helps to outline the lips with the fine end. The colour is enough with one application and I like that it doesn't fade off that easily. Formulated with Vitamin E, peach and orange water, it isn’t creamy or glossy and has a lovely dewy shine.
At first, when I opened the package, I was shocked to find such extreme colours. Bright Orange and a Minty Green for lips? Wow!

The Tint Crayon is extremely moisturising with it's almond and jojoba oil. I brought it with me on my overseas trip and it kept my lips looking supple and softer looking.

But when I tried it on my hands, I have to say I fell in love with them, especially the Tint Crayon. It turned pink with the warmth of my hand and it was so glossy and moisturizing. In fact, both products go well to create the latest makeup trend - "Bitten Lips".

I simply applied the Tint Crayon all over my lips and had the Tint Marker on the inner parts of my lips, creating that ombre fading look. It makes my lips so much softer and kissable and with this look, my lips look even more prominent and fuller as though I had some lip plumping gloss on.

These 2 babies retail at S$14.90 and are exclusively available at Watsons.
Have fun!

[What's New] It's Time For The All New Tsubaki

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hi Huneybees,

I came back from my Thailand trip and Cheryl was so sweet to extend an invitation to bring me along to the launch of the all new Tsubaki hair product range. Just what I need! I want to look like those Japanese models on the poster - Mizuhara Kiko (Fashion Model/Actress), Kojima Haruna (Member of AKB48), Ebihara Yuri (Fashion Model/TV Personality) and Anne (Fashion Model/Musician/Writer/Radio DJ).

About Tsubaki

  • Launched in 2006
  • Leading hair care market in Japan
  • Record total number of shipments of over 270 million units

I was dressed for the theme (Yellow, Red and White) to suit their range of hair products and upon arriving, I was asked to sign off my hair woes. Being the perfectionist Virgo, I am tough and strict when it comes to beauty, I literally picked everything as I wanted the perfect hair.... (Dull looking hair, dry and brittle hair, fine hair, itchy and/or sensitive scalp, hair lacks shine and frizzy ends).
There was also several activities going on before the presentation started. One was a Polaroid taking and designing section, memory games for some lovely prizes as well as personal illustrations by 2 talented artists.
Artists - Sharon Yang Ge and Teresa Lim

Cheryl and I both got our portraits done by Sharon and that really made me missed painting. I began picking up the brushes again on my next trip overseas. But I'll leave it for the next blog post...

Ok. So now it's time to present the leading stars...

For the new range of Tsubaki Hair products, they are divided into 3 categories: In red packaging - Shining (For silky manageable hair with satiny smooth texture), in white packaging - Damage Care (Deeply repairs dry and brittle hair for silky smoothness from the roots to the ends) and in yellow packaging - Head Spa (For lustrously resilient hair with volume from the roots).

For all ranges:
  • New packaging keeps the original shape and features a softer design
  • The 500ml bottle features a shrink-wrap outer package that is easily torn off
  • They contain Arginine, a melanin holes repair ingredient
  • Contains a UV protective ingredient
  • Contains Camellia Oil (which is Tsubaki in Japanese *It's the brand, of course it has to be in there!*)

Shining Range

Damage Care Range
Head Spa Range

The full range will be available at Watsons exclusively from 4 July 2013 and here's the price of the various items...

  • Shining Shampoo / Conditioner: $17.90 (550ml), $8.90 (220ml)
  • Shining Treatment: $15.90 (200g)
  • Shining Mask: $19.90 (180g)

Launch of Dermal Therapy

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

I was invited to Dermal Therapy's launch event and when I saw that they carry a product called Nail Magic, I knew that would be something I will need. :)

The whole brand name has already let the cat out of the bag. It is a range of skincare products that helps relieve common skin problems and irritations. I have to say that the packaging is not the most appealing, no adorable cute colours, no frills, no gimmicks, yet the products are superbly efficient!

The host for the event was Yasmin and she shared her experience how much she loved the Dermal Therapy products, together with Loretta Fung and Amit Saha (Group Technical Manager).

The Dermal Therapy range is developed by Lacorium Health International Pty Ltd in Australia and esclusively distributed in Singapore by United Italian Trading Corporation (Pte) Ltd, a reputable pharmaceutical marketing distribution company established in Singapore since 1963, with branch offices in Hong Kong, Macau and Malaysia. The range of products cover areas of foot and nail care as well as skin care focusing on problem ares like hands and lips.

So, at the event, I was introduced to the individual products and allow me to show you the magic...

Here are some of the facts of the Gentle Hydrating Wash (300ml, $14.90). I tried it at the event and it was very gentle, soft on my skin as I rub the product on my hand and after wiping it off, my hand was clean and literally glowing as though I have taken a load of dull dead skin away!

The Intense Hydrating Lotion (300ml, $17.90) is an everyday family lotion for regular moisturisation purposes, providing protection against irritation, chafing, dryness and a wide variety of skin ailments including eczema.

I have not stopped using the lotion ever since I got it. I can feel my skin more moisturised and less "scaly".

The Nail Magic (15ml, $15.50) is my favourite! My dear readers who simply love painting their nails like me, would definitely must get this product to whiten your nails and help strengthen those brittle nails. The brush tip makes it easy to apply the gel, it gets absorbed fast and goes on invisible after application.

The Hand Balm (50g, $7.90) is suitable for moisturising patches of dry skin including Eczema & Psoriasis, conditioning the skin free from radical damage with Vitamin E.

For those dry heels, flaky skin is so irritating, here's 2 solutions for you. Dermal Therapy Heel Balm (28g, $6.90) and Dermal Therapy Heel Magic (70g, $15.50).

Both products work on rough, dry and cracked heels, helping to smooth things out and they are both diabetic friendly.

And last but not least, I call this my miracle worker. Do you always want kissable lips, soft and healthy looking, supple and all so juicy that everyone just wana kiss? Try Dermal Therapy's Lip Balm (10g, $5.90).

It might sting a little when you apply. It's like the sensation you get when you apply those lips puckering lip glosses. It's normal and for cases with really dry lips, there might be signs of white skin, simply wipe off and your lips will definitely heal as you apply daily.

I know this is a very lengthy post, thank you for the support and do head down to Watsons and Guardian Pharmacy to get your bottle of remedy!

XOXO,
Christina aka Huney
